The KidzRock Two Day Rock Band School £95

KidzRock! is all about playing in real live rock bands. We carefully group our students (10-18 years) into small groups for two full days (10am-4pm) of playing, writing and performing as our bands work towards the grand finale 'friends and family' gig at the end of the final day. This professionally staged event makes rock stars out of all our students and they are buzzing with confidence afterwards.

Every band is made up of the classic rock line up (eg. vocals, bass, drums, guitars, keys etc.) and are carefully put together taking age, ability and tastes into consideration. The aim of the course is to give each student the ultimate rock band experience and is a great opportunity for students to meet new local friends. Many of our older students submit their final performance towards their Music GCSE.

The KidzRock! team spend a huge amount of time selecting and arranging suitable songs for the sessions, some which will get you rocking as a band in no time and others which will prove more challenging. We’ll cover both classic and modern rock songs such as ‘London’s Calling’ by the Clash, 'Seven Nation Army' by The White Stripes, 'Mama Do' by Pixie Lott and 'Mercy' by Duffy.

Everything is done as a band in separate rehearsal rooms and led by professional multi-instrumentalist instructors who act as coaches and bring out the very best in the children as they develop musically and socially during their time with us.

We have seven scheduled rehearsal sessions spread over the two days with regular 15 minute quiet breaks (plus lunch) where the different bands have a chance to socialise and quiz the instructors. The bands get to perform to each other at the end of the first day and this provides a great opportunity for other students and instructors to feedback suggestions on areas to work on prior to the BIG grand finale gig to family and friends at 3.30pm on the final day. We also clear the floor for a fun open mike session on the final day which is very popular with our students.

Please note that our students do need to have some experience of playing their instrument - a minimum of 12 months is advised. Drummers should be especially confident in their playing. For more detail please refer to our FAQ's or call if you'd like to discuss further.
